Rep. Kargon sets record straight, blasts Front Page Africa reporter

Nimba County District # 4 representative Gunpue Kargon has blasted media reports by FrontPage Africa Nimba correspondent Franklin Doloquee that he [Kargon] narrowly escaped death in Bluntuo Town in his district. 

Reacting to the report via mobile phone on a local Radio station in Sanniquellie, Radio Nimba morning magazine program “Wake up Nimba” Representative Kargon explained that at no point in time did he had no harsh verbal or physical exchanges with any citizens in his district during his recent visit in the area. 

It was reported by journalist Franklin Doloquee that the lawmaker narrowly escaped death recently in Bluntuo Town while touring the area.

Doloquee reporting on the morning magazine program of Radio Nimba on Monday February 24, 2020 disclosed that he was not on the scene, but received information from some angry citizens from the town. 

But the District # 4 policymaker revealed that citizens of Beo Bongarplay expressed concerns about failure by his office to build a clinic and School in the town as promised to them during the 2017 general and presidential elections. 

Representative Kargon indicated that the issue was laid to rest insisting that he did not reach in Bluntuo which is not in his district rather in District # 5 that is control by his colleague Representative Samuel G. Korgar. 

The District # 4 called on journalist Doloquee to always verify information before releasing it to the public, adding that characters are difficult to build as such, and people character should not be played with. 

Our reporter said the  report from the Nimba County Frontage Africa Correspondent has made citizens to criticize him with several people calling the journalist with negative names.
