Several families have been rendered homeless in Kentorkporglay Town in Zor Clan, Gbehlay Geh District as a result of a rain storm.
Heavy storm recently hats the town destroying over 15 houses leaving several occupants to seek shelter from other family members and friends.
Speaking to reporters in the town after the incident, a resident and one of the affected persons of the Town Patrick Dokor explained that the condition of the affected families was appalling thus calling humanitarian organizations, the Nimba County Detester committee, politicians and other well-meaning citizens to come to their aid.
Dokor lamented that even thou there was no death reported, but there is an urgent need for assistance for those of them who were affected by the storm.
He maintained that the residents are in serious need of assistance because they cannot afford to continue to sleep in the poachers of other family members.
For his part, the town chief of Kentorkporglay Alex Tongar said that this is the first of its kind for the town to experience such a disaster, thus calling on any well-meaning citizens to donate what so ever they have including bundles of Zinc, nails and cement to renovate their damaged homes.
Town Chief Tongar maintained that his people are in dying need of help from the Disaster Relief committee, and their representative to enable them put their lives together again.
Kentorkporglay is a town located along the border between Ivory Coast and Liberia in District # 3 in Nimba County.
