A Nimba County Lawmaker says the surest way for Liberia to overcome the Coronavirus is for people to accept the reality of the virus and its devastating effect on human existence.

Representative Johnson Gwaikolo said more people will continue to be infected and even died from the virus because of the culture of denial in some areas.

Representative Gwaikolo noted that once people accept the reality of the virus they would be well focus and position to fight the Covid-19, by upholding the requisite health measures instituted by Health Authorities including constant  hand washing, social distancing, staying away from public gathering among others.

The Nimba County Lawmakers however called on all Liberians and foreign residents especially the people of District# 9, Nimba County not to have any misconception about the virus rather for them to join the government and Health Officials to fight  and defeat the Covid-19 in Liberia.

He warned that the Coronavirus is real in Liberia and the virus has caught some members of the Liberian Society who are currently being quarantined and undergoing some medical formalities.

Representative Gwaikolo insisted that the people who are living in the state of denial are causing more harm for the Country and they are even undermining public health safety at the detriment of the greater populations.
