In Redlight surbub of Paynesville,  local marketers are urging the incoming government to enforce regulations that would require marketers to stay within the Omega market.

They emphasize the need for stability and community support to enhance business growth and ensure a thriving market environment.

The women expressed that they are dissatisfied with the current  situation at  the Redlight Paynesville where sellers have taken over the entire street of red light thus creating  difficulties for motorcyclists, tricycle drivers, and taxi drivers to navigate the area.

They cited concerns about stability and economic growth, while emphasizing the importance of a unified market presence for the benefit of both vendors and the community.  The women also expressed concern about the increasing number of street vendors and the encroachment of makeshift structures, which are gradually taking over the street of red light due to overcrowding.

They told our correspondent that instead of marketeers selling in the 14 Omega Market built by government, the majority of them have taken to streets of Redlight creating huge garbages and blocking traffic.

Addressing our reporter, Fanta Konneh a bonney
Seller at the omega market called on national government to act quick in their situation before it gets out of hand.

Ma Musu for her part is appealing to the the incoming government to help connect our major roads leading to the market.

Additionally, the market women lamented that the Omega market has been neglected as sellers prefer to sell at the red light market. Consequently, they are experiencing a significant decline in daily customers at the Omega market.

The group of market women strongly emphasizes the importance of the incoming government addressing this issue by relocating sellers from the streets of red light and encouraging them to return to the Omega market.

Many marketers at the newly built Omega market have since abandoned the market and regrouped at the Redlight market creating havoc for commuters and environmental hazard.
