The Ruling CDC Raises Candidate against Rep. Yekeh Kolubah in District#10 Montserrado

Members of the Revolutionary Youth League of CDC on Saturday June 6, 2020 stormed Peace Island Community to support Commerce Ministry Inspector General, Josephine Davis when she dedicated a water project.The youth league members include, Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koijee-chair, Minister of Gender Children and Social Protection Williametta Saydee-Tarr amongst others.

Other government officials were present, like Minister of Commerce Wilson Tarpeh and Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation Managing Director Duannah Kamara.

The populated Peace Island Community falls within District #10 governing by one of President Weah’s major critics Representative Yekeh Kolubah.
Representative Kolubah since his ascendency as lawmaker has continued to be vocal on the ruling party, especially President Weah.

CDC Youth League Chair, and Mayor of the City of Monrovia, Jefferson Koijee called on the people of Peace Island to give Madam Josephine Davis the needed support in her quest.
Mayor Koijee said for Districts to developmentally achieved, the inhabitants should support their own Josephine Davis.
“I hear somebody talking oh that position business; ok yeah let it be for position. If position will help to help somebody live, then we want that position, if position will make you bring smile on somebody live then we want that position.”

“We want to say to you the condition of our people have to be change by their children, nobody will do it for strangers will not do it for you, you must begin to protect your own, and Jojo is one of your own, she’s your daughter and some of you saw her growing up.”

The Commerce IG said the dedication of the Liberia Water and Sewer connection to the community demonstrates thoughtfulness of the Liberian Leader to her people.
According to her, the people are steadfast in support towards the CDC government headed by President Weah, noting it is gesture to show gratitude.

The Inspector General Josephine Davis sad the people of Peace Island are resolve on supporting President George Weah.

I hope the dedication of this project will serve as a reminder that our development driven President has not forgotten about the people of this district. Specifically, my resolve committed and unwavering people of Peace Island”.

“This is just one of the many milestone project our President has under take in our district, please see this as a little mark of many gratitude and expect many more to come.

Rep. Yekeh Kolubah reacts

In response to the news that the ruling party has decided to fuel madam Josephine Davies against him in the district comes 2023 legislative election, Rep. Kolubah said he is not deterred and will defeat any candidate from the ruling CDC as he did in 2017.

” I defeated  Mulbah Morlu with wide votes margin in 2017 so I am not afraid. I will be elected in 2023 the same way”, Rep. Kolubah told a news conference on  Monday June 8, 2020.
