Amid COVID-19; MNG Gold resumes project works in Bong County

In an effort to abide by its corporate social responsibility, the Turkish mining company MNG Gold has resumed the construction of a modern clinic in Kokoyah Statutory district.

 Several projects initiated by the mining company came at a standstill in Sayweh town, at the result of the coronavirus crisis in Liberia.

Speaking LPR National Correspondent Mr.LIoyd Ngwayah, the public relations officer of the company, he narrated that despite the challenges in procurement process of the necessary construction materials and observing all the health protocol, the institution has resumed normal construction works on the clinic.

He revealed that the Turkish mining entity is wielding all efforts in order to fulfill promises made to the affected communities in the district.

 At the same time, Mr. Ngwayah also confirmed that the Company are expected to embark on a construction and rehabilitation of several feeder roads linking Dolo and new towns, U-lah as well as camp-2 town in Boinsein sdministrative district. 

Mr. Lloyd Ngwayah than noted that the reconstruction of the MNG’s kokoyah high school and its vocational training center which got on fire in 2018 is also about To key start soon. 

The MNG-GOLD Public Relations Officer  told Liberia Public Radio that in the wake of numerous economic and health difficulties, the mining body, remain committed to its corporate social responsibility, as Liberia and its citizens strive for the overall improvement of the economic struggling nation.
