Police Launches investigation for killer of a Hunter in RiverGee County

Report emanating from Fish town RiverGee County says, the Liberia National Police has launched an investigation for killer (s) of a 46-year- old Hunter identified as Mark Woryea who was discovered dead on on a farmer farm on Thursday June 18,2020.

The farm is said to be a  minute walk away from Fish town, the capital of the county.

According to the report, the deceased Mark Woryea left from home on Tuesday to hunt in the bush and did not return until he was discovered dead on Thursday after the farm owner Richard D. Toe has gone to check on his crops.

Eyewitness Toe and owner of the farm said when he got on his farm, he started smelling some unpleasant odors and decided to check around his farm to ascertain what smelled and after a massive search, he found the deceased lifeless body lying.

Mr. Toe told residents that after he discovered the deceased, he ran in town to report the matter to the police and thereafter he and officers of the Liberia National Police went in bush where the body was discovered.

LPR correspondent in Fish town said a 15-man corridor Jurors were set up to examined the body where it was discovered that the deceased was gun downed by unknown person and found a shell of the bullet was near him.

The victim is expected to be buried today Friday June 19, 2020 but up to present no arrest has been made but the County, authority has assured the bereaved family that the perpetrator (s) will be brought to Justice.

In another development, a 41 year old pregnant woman known as Patricia Brown  has again suffered the Liberia Drug enforcement Agency brutality recently in RiverGee County

The  eight month old pregnant woman was on her way to fish town referral hospital for her regular checkup in order know the status of her pregnancy but at  the Dwehken check point between Grand Kru and RiverGee Counties.

She was told by a LDEA officer known as Jack Rude to get down from d motorbike and wash her hands but she inform the officer that she was not feeling well and was  on her way to hospital for medical checkup.

After making said statement, the LDEA officer demanded her to come down from the motorbike to wash her hands something she did do.

Our correspondent said  while in the process, she heard the officer rudely talking to her why she never waited for ambulance to come for her before coming down from the bike but she responded to him by asking if the LDEA officer in question does not a wife or sister due to the manner he addresses female.

The victim narrated that after she made that statement to LDEA officer, the accused Jack Rude allegedly started beating on her and later used stick to beat her back and fell unconscious and opened eyes at the referral hospital.

Victim Patricia Brown is said to be suffering from internal bleeding something that might lead her to unsafe delivery but the County authority promised to launch investigation into her allegation.
