The Crime Services Division of the Liberia National Police in Gbarnga, Bong County has charged and sent to court Yarkpawolo Doryea aged 45 for allegedly brutalizing his girlfriend, Kennie Kollie to death in Janjay town, Jorquelleh District #2.

According to Police Superintendent John Kellenso Flomo, the incident occurred on the farm of the victim on May 5, 2020 after the victim was heartlessly flogged.

Kelenso narrated that a 15-man panel jury’s investigation discovered bruises on the victim’s lifeless body, with feces in her underclothes.

Yarkpawolo Doyea, the alleged suspect, has since denied the charge against him on grounds that his fiancée [ Kennie ] did not die immediately after the last incident between both of them.

Even though he admitted going into fist fight with the victim, Doyea revealed that the victim recovered from the pain of their recent fight.

He then rebutted a claim from the police investigation that he and the victim went into fist fight on two separate occasions.

Asked whether he committed the allege murder, Doryea told Liberia Public Radio reporter that he did not commit the crime.

Our reporter said the alleged murder; Yarkpawolo Doryea is currently behind bars at the Gbarnga Central Prison awaiting prosecution.

This is the second time for similar incident in less than one month in Bong County.

Two weeks ago, a middle age man in Fuama District allegedly killed his fiancée over an extra marital affair with a single barrel pistol.
