Temple of Justice, Monrovia_Civil Law Court ‘A’ at the Temple of Justice has ordered  arrested the manager of the Montserrado Group of industries Mr. Houssei Kaffel following the expiration of a 24hr. ultimatum on Friday of last week.

The management of the Montserrado Group of industries and Ministry of Justice was given a 24hr ultimatum to take an alleged stolen container from the ground of the Temple of Justice on Friday but failed to obey court order.

The order  came as a result after the Acting Minister of Justice Nyenati Tuan mandated the Montserrado County Attorney Edwin Kla Martin to investigate a the stolen container at the National Port Authority (NPA) involving the Montserrado Group of industries and a Guinean company known as AGID SARLU COMPlexe ARO INDUSTRE DE DUBREKA.

 In a petition filed and later followed by a bill of information and in said petition filed by the petitioner AGID SARLU COMPlexe ARO INDUSTRE DE DUBREKA that on February 28,2020, it executed a partnership agreement with ARIA GIDA KATKU MADD SANVET TIC LTD, for the construction of a production plant in Conakry Guinea value at three hundred and two thousand eight hundred United States (302,800.00) which requires 50% Capital contribution by each.

Upon the signing of the partnership agreement which herein attached count three of this petition, the petitioner wired one hundred and fifty one thousand four hundred United States Dollars which is herein attached contributes it’s 50% share in keeping with Article (2) of the partnership agreement executed by the parties.

The petitioner said, after transferring all monies required to ship the container, it was discovered that ARIA GIDA KATKU MADD SANVET TIC LTD, a partner of the agreement, known as Reza Akhavein was consistently reneging and failing to live up to the terms of the agreement including the procuring the four new brand machine, processing materials, packages and other assorted raw material for which petitioner paid almost three hundred thousand United States dollars (300,000.00) for which Mr. Reza Akhavein of ARIA GIDA KATKU MADD SANVET TIC LTD didn’t provide it’s portion of the capital.

The ship therefore picked up from Turkey and made a stop at Madrid Spain where petitioner discovered that ARIA GIDA KATKU MADD of Mr. Reza Akhavein unlawfully, criminally and unilaterally changed the original owner or consignee changed the destination that is from AGID SARLU COMPlexe ARO INDUSTRE DE DUBREKA, to the Montserrado Group of industries and from Conakry Guinea to Monrovia Liberia respectively.

Based upon this background, Mr. BOUBACAR S. BALDE of AGID SARLU COMPlexe ARO INDUSTRE DUBREKA through their Guinean embassy in Liberia wrote the foreign Ministry about the stolen container and foreign Ministry in return wrote the Ministry of Justice to launch an investigation into the alleged stolen container.

The Ministry of Justice launched an investigation through the Liberia National Police but findings from the investigation recommended for the matter be taken since it is involved with ownership.

While was in progress to be acted upon, the Acting Minister of Justice Nyenati Tuan again wrote a communication to the Montserrado County Attorney to release the stolen container to the Montserrado Group of industries without presented findings of the investigation to the petitioner.

Both the Ministry of Justice were given a 24hr period to produce the alleged stolen container at the Temple of Justice and if failure on their part to produce the alleged stolen container on Friday, they both could be held in contempt and subsequent arrest.

The Ministry of Justice headed by it acting Minister Nyenati Tuan made his appearance at the Civil law court and held a close door conference discussion with Civil law court A judge Kennedy Peabody but sources from the close door conference told Liberia Public Radio that Minister Tuan said the releasing of the container to the Montserrado Group of industries was a political pressure.

While, the Montserrado Group of industries defied the court order by appearing neither to produce the stolen container.

Who is Montserrado Group of industries?

The Montserrado Group of industries is the company hired to renovate the building at president Weah resident on 9th Street Sinkor and “pro poor housing” unit in the various Counties in Liberia.

However, investigation conducted by Liberia Public Radio  revealed that during the investigation of the alleged stolen container, the Minister of state Nathaniel McGill was fully involved and pressured Acting Justice Minister Tuan to release the container to the Montserrado Group of industries because of its involvement with the president’s  resident and the pro poor housing units construction  projects.
