In a well-packed and organized gathering in the county at the Bethel World Church, Representative Josiah Marvin Cole said, “Politicians are evils, Crockery and can’t say the truth”.

According to Hon. Cole, there should be a prayer for Politicians to live by their promises.

“We need prayers from religious institutions, we are evil, crockery and can’t say the truth” he continued.

Rep. Cole however called on religious people to pray for the safety of Bong County as politicians are not living by their promises.

“Those who do not have Jesus should not be elected in the County,” Hon. Cole maintained.

Representative is noted for making huge and empty promises while denying most of them.

It can be recalled during the 2017 presidential and representative elections after being dismissed as head of the Gbarnga City Cooperation, promised to make Gbarnga an orange city and build skyscrapers if elected as representative.

Barely a year in his stewardship, he somersaulted and denied of ever saying it.

“In no time I ever said I will make Gbarnga an orange city by building skyscrapers, among others. I did not say anything like that” he boldly lawmaker denied.

This statement by the lawmaker has been greeted with miss reactions by citizens of the county.

Some have described his open confession as an arrest by the Holy Spirit.

“Our lawmakers have started confessing on what they have been doing in the county.

It is a shame on them. Why they will keep lying to us? We don’t trust any of them again” the citizens maintained.

Rep. Cole said the Christian community immensely contributed to his ascendency at the House of Representatives during the 2017 presidential and representative elections, as such, they need to be appreciated.

Also speaking at the occasion, church leaders openly thanked Rep. Cole for visiting them and making the open confession as a lawmaker of the county.

“We appreciate him for his confession. Speak the truth and it shall set you free. He spoke the hard truth and we will pray for them to change” the church leaders assured.

The occasion was attended by over 25 churches in Gbarnga who were appreciated by the lawmaker recently in the county.

Cole has again promised to provide one million Liberian dollars to support a choir contest even though similar promises like this one in the past has not been fulfilled.
