Amid protests, Weah wants Liberians Keep ‘Hope Alive’

President Weah believes that everyone must be respected of his/her tradition and practice responsibly

H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah has urged Liberians to keep the hope alive in whatever they do and to put God first.

The President encouraged his citizens to have faith and commitment that the country will achieve its goal.

He expressed optimism that on the premise that there is no nation on earth that has not been tried or tested as every one of them had experienced moments of national peril which was eventually overcome making such countries stronger in unity.

President George Manneh Weah was speaking on Sunday evening, December 5, 2021 at the Dedicatory and fundraising ceremony of the Greater Refuge Cathedral Church, adjacent R.C Lawson institute in oldest Congo Town.

The President urged Liberian not to rest on their oars until the country unravels.

President Weah said there’s no devil that can withstand a Government’s decision on issue of importance, but said there’s trial and test of time, which will help the nation elevates.

“There’s is test of time in everything you do, the test help you to wake up, if my brother Bishop.

At the same time President George Weah cautions Liberian to respect traditions and the law of Liberia.

The Liberian Leader was speaking on a recent demonstration staged by some traditional members of the Lofa County Traditional Chapter who gathered in their numbers to protest over the delay in certificating one of their son’s that won the December 8, 2020 Special Senatorial Elections in the county, but is yet to take his seat at the National Legislature and represent his people; something the Traditional Protesters say has taken forever, thus making Lofa County under-represented in the House of Parliament.

According to President Weah, the act of staging such protest was mis-calculated and mis-guarded.

Weah added that for too long citizens have taken the laws for granted and there should be a need for more decent approach to seeking National Government attention on pressing issues.

Meanwhile, President Weah believes that everyone must be respected of his/her tradition and practice responsibly, something the President acknowledged that God is the true ultimate and there’s no devil that can stand in front of the Almighty.

For his part Bishop Nathaniel Zarway – appreciate God Almighty for the current stage of the building he said the modern structure was built through the collection of the church offering and tithes given from its members.

The program was attended by several bishops and other heads of religious organization

He thanked the engineer for a job done and put the current stage of project at approximately 150,000 United States Dollars, that includes $ 24,000 USD for the Entries of the building, 40,000USD for the Roving of the building, tithing of the building at 38,000 USD, among others, the Church edify includes offices, Conference rooms, Auditorium and Worship Center.

Attending the program were commemorating of Bishops and clergy’s of Liberia, including Bishop John Allen Klayee of the Jubilee Church, Senator Prince Y. Johnson of Chapel of Faith Ministries, Archbishop Isaac Winker of the Dominion Christian Fellowship Church, Bishop George D. Harris of the Philadelphia Central Church (PCC) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation, among others.
