Residents of Barclay Farm in District #2 Margibi County have endorsed the candidacy of Representative Ivar K. Jones ahead of the December 8, 2020 midterm Senatorial election.
The citizens in their hundreds defied the rain over the weekend to endorse the District #2 Lawmaker who is contesting the upcoming Senatorial election.
Reading the endorsement statement on behave of the Barclay Farm residents, Mr. H. Benjamin A. Dorbor, Sr. said their decision to endorse the candidacy of the District Representative is predicated upon his numerous developmental initiatives in the district within a relatively short period of time.
Mr. Dorbor stated that it is as the result of the farsightedness of Hon. Jones that the people of District #2 can boast of a modern District office.
He also indicated that Hon. Jones has contributed to the human resource development of deserving individuals in the district through the provision of scholarship.
Dorbor in the endorsement statement narrated that in his quest to elevate the Charleville Public School to a full Senior High School, the Representative is constructing additional four classrooms in the area.
He furthered that Rep. Jones is currently completing a police station that was initiated by the immediate past government something he added will help boost the security of the community.
He boasted that the Lawmaker being developmentally orientated has opened a modern radio station (Farmington FM) in Cotton Tree to disseminate Information across the District, the County and the Country at large.
Additionally, Dorbor said Ivar K. Jones has distributed medical materials to various health facilities in the County including the Barclay Farm health center.
“In view of the above, we the citizens of Barclay Farm in collaboration with several organizations and groupings generally endorse your candidacy on the ticket of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), and we will unanimously support you be it spiritually, morally and physically with the strength of the Almighty God untill you become the next Senator of Margibi comes December 8, 2020” Mr. Dorbor elaborated.
In a related development, the Barclay Farm residents have certificated the Lawmaker for his “contributions” to the District and the County at large.
Mr. Benjamin Garseda presenting the certificate of honor to Hon. Jones on behave of the people said they as citizens of Barclay Farm have closely followed the developmental agenda of the Representative.
Benjamin Garseda: “In recognition of your services to humanity, the community and the district at large; we the Citizens of Barclay Farm have closely followed all your developmental agenda and have decided to certificate you for your contributions made to district #2 and Margibi at large”.
He added that they are not appreciating the one that will eat their money tomorrow, but the one who stands for equality and accountability for the masses.
For his part, Rep. Ivar K. Jones has promised to be with his people after December 8, 2020 just as they promised to be with him.
He said while others did not see the little effort he has applied especially with the trending economic issue that is unfolding in Liberia, the people of Barclay Farm have recognized his developmental effort, the oversight responsibility given him on October 10, 2017 as well as his cardinal responsibility.
“While others are criticizing us the people of Barclay Farm have certificated and endorsed us, not only certificating and endorsing us, but you have promised to be with us till December 8, 2020 and you can right assure that just as you have declared that you will be with us till 2020 we can say in the same vein that we will be with you after December 8”, he mentioned.
He at the same time thanked the Citizens for giving his flower while he is still alive.
