Bassa Students Petition President Weah for 2nd term

The students say their action is based on Weah's numerous developmental initiatives

Group of Students of Gborblee town- Wayzohn City-Wee Statutory District, Compound -3 lower Grand Bassa County, have written President George Manneh Weah an open letter  requesting him to seek reelection in the 2023 Presidential Election.

Presenting the petition on behalf of the Student Community, 12th Grade student Comfort Russ of Gborblee High school attributed their decision to the numerous strides made by President Weah in improving the educational system of Liberia

She recounted the payment of WASSCE fees, the declaration of public schools tuition – free has clear manifestations of some of President Weah good legacy that should be completed when he’s reelected as President of the Republic of Liberia.

Student Russ said the President is committed to transforming the lives of Liberian and the students population is no exception to the president commitment as he done more for students in a short time.

  Russ said the Tuition -Free for Public School and the payment of Examination fees for Students are two major moves by the President, that have relieved impoverished parents and placed the educational system on the path of total recovery. 

She hailed the Liberian leader for the construction and renovation of public schools across the Country and the sending of Liberians abroad for advanced studies.

Student Comfort Russ, on behalf of the Students pledged the Student body’s of Wee- Statutory District unflinching support to the second term bid of President George Manneh Weah in 2023 so as to give him ample time to develop the Country.

At the same time, President George Manneh Weah has awarded Student Comfort Russ a scholarship up to masters level at any institution of her choice after eloquently addressing the platform.

The pronouncement came when the Liberian leader shortly responded to the Students communities of Wee- Statutory petitioning to contest for relecetion in the forthcoming 2023 Presidential Election.
