Liberian President George Manneh Weah on Friday May 7 marked the fourth Presidential Nationwide Counties Tour in Sinoe County, Southeastern Liberia, while breaking ground for the construction of a one-hundred-bedroom hospital in Morrisville, Sinoe County.
Addressing an enthusiastic crowd of Sinoe citizens, the President said ground breaking for the hospital in the county is in fulfillment of his bid to improve the Health sector of the Country, something that is majorly challenge.
President Weah in remark told the people of Sinoe, the President said, the People of Sinoe has been good to be as their own son;
Weah assured that he would also be good to Sinoe, amid applause by the hundreds of citizens who thronged the project site to witness the occasion.
The President said he was happy to be in Sinoe County, which he consider as his home and urged them to be united stop the land dispute and confusion among themselves, the President pointed out, this is year of engagement with the citizens and get to know their needs and how the government can help solve some their problem.
He said the Government goal is to improve the livelihood of its citizens, reemphasing that the Government is a three years ago, whom have done a lot in short time and will continue to do more in connectivity with its citizens, and that will be only when the country is peaceful.
President Weah urged the People of Sinoe and Rivercess to smoke the pipe of peace and resolve the long standing land dispute, which is harmful for the growth and development of the country.
The President pinpointed that only with peaceful coexistence that Liberia will move forward as he decried on the people of Liberia to stop the confusions and move together as one people.
At the same time, while breaking ground for the construction of the Modern hospital, the land leader also dedicated and tour the newly constructed Sinoe Vocational Training Center”, an initiative of Senator Augustine Chea.
In short response Senator Augustine Chea said the facility is in fulfillment of one of the campaign promises to the people of Sinoe.
Meanwhile the ground breaking of the hospital is part of efforts by the CDC led-government to boost and advance the country’s fragile healthcare delivery system.
Officially performing the ground breaking on Friday May 7, 2021, President George Weah reiterated his government’s commitment to strengthening the Liberian society through the undertaking of tangible developments.
