Sister Barclay addressing children at the fellowship

Sister Kenyeh Barlay of the International Fellowship of Christians in Abidjan has called on Christian children to have that spirit of forgiveness despite whatever they might face as they grow up in the Lord.

Speaking at a fellowship in Abidjan recently, Sister Barclay said forgiveness is at the very heart of the gospel according to Colossians 3:13 states.

She added that  “bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive,” we were born sinners against God, but He loved us enough to send Christ, His Son to die for us.

Speaking to a cross section of children at the International Fellowship of Christians in Riviera Palmeraie in Abidjan she reminded the kids about the life of Joseph, how to forgive and comparing Joseph’s life to that of the life of Jesus Christ.

She pointed out that Christian parents should treat their children with equal love, respect and not to give special attention to a particular child something, which she said, will help to avoid the spirit of envy and jealousy.

“We all have dreams for our children to become what they need to become, whatever struggle you are going through today, please learn to forgive and when you do so, God will surely make a way”.

“Our Lord Jesus Christ forgive those who persecuted him and Joseph forgive his brothers as well, that’s the similarity of Jesus and Joseph, so whatever you will go through as Christians in life you need to forgive”.

The Bible Vacation School (VBS) is a weeklong vocational activity organized by the children’s ministry of the church, which consists of arts & crafts, various games among other.

The International Fellowship of Christians church, is an inter denominational church established by few white missionaries in Cote d’Ivoire with the idea of bringing English speaking people in to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.
