President Weah opens Invincible swimming pool for Children

Dozens of children were smiling from ear to ear Tuesday, June 7, 2022 shortly when President George Manneh Weah officially cut the ribbon of the newly constructed Invincible Swimming pool for Children.

In his heart and love for Children President George Manneh Weah, led arrays of Government officials, including the Minister of State without Portfolio, Trokon Kpui, Minister of Finance Development and Planning Samuel D. Tweah Jr, newly Confirm Public Works, Minister Ruth Coker Collins, the head of the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) Pepci Yeke, Executive Mansion Chief of Protocols, Amb. Nora Finda Bundoo, among others to dedicate the Invincible Swimming Pool for Children in Liberia.

President Weah said he was honored to dedicate the Swimming Pool for Children, which make them feels so happy and allow them to play freely. President Weah further stated that after the completion and dedication of the Modern Invincible Sports Park, with playground for Children, he realized a pool is needed, therefore we had to have a pool for the children, the President stated.

The President said there is reason to dedicate a children pool,”You know children loves water, and today is joyous day for the kids as you can see, “This is awesome,” Weah said. And the Children will enjoy it.

President Weah used, the occassion to cautioned parents to be responsible not to use the Pool, as it’s for Children only.”Parents need to be responsible and know that this pool is for Children, not for adult pool, the President said.

As part of infrastructure development, President Weah, reaffirmed his willingness to continue developing Liberia, by not only building additional modern Sports Park around the Country, but carryout continous workings for a better Liberia.

When quizzed about how he feels developing Liberia, President Weah answered “like the way I use to feel on the bench for “IE” the same way I feel for Liberia.”I feels passion about Liberia, so I’m committed to doing what I’m ask to do for my country, President Weah said.

“I Know what Liberia is lacking, ” I have lived here, work here, and know exactly what best to do for growth and we are doing, our quest is to developed this Country and what is important for us is to work hard and do what we were ask to do.
“If it is development, we will continous developing Liberia, if there’s need to build additional sports park around the Country, We will replicate it in other counties, President Weah stated.

For his part, the man in charge of Presidential projects, and the Minister of States without Portfolio Troken kpui express excitement about the Children’s Swimming Pool facility of which he said was not initially part of designed plan in the construction of the Invincible Sports park, but came as a result of a little girl, doing the opening of the facility, who attested that there’s a need for a swimming pool for the children.

Therefore it was a need for the children to have a swimming pool and other additional facility at the Invincible Sports park, Minister Kpui than use the occasion to calls for maintenance of the Park by Citizens.

He admonished Liberians to ensure that the park is kept clean, for long lasting and good for the beautification of Liberia.”I want to urged everyone using the park to maintain in his/her weak way, we use not misused the park or keep dirty, by dropping dirt on the floor, let us be responsible and drop dirt to in the garbage bucket, Minister Kpui sateted.

In related development, Minister Kpui disclose that the PHP Unity Sports Park and Recreation Center is expected to contain a full outdoor gym, a children’s playground, two football fields, two basketball courts, and two volleyball courts, as well as a boardwalk, among other facilities is 35% near completion and will next year January 2023 be ready for dedication.


Meanwhile, It can be recalled on April 15, 2022, President George Manneh Weah’s desire and vision to put the country on the international development map, dedicated the first modern Invincible Sports Park in Liberia.
