Police incarcerates local Liberian football player for murdering his girlfriend

Police in Monrovia has arrested former Bomi   striker Mohammed Barry, alias Agogo for reportedly murdering his girlfriend.

He is accused of murdering his fiancée  identified  as Annie Lymas in Brewerville, Montserrado County.

Suspect Agogo Barry is currently behind bars at the Monrovia central Prison awaiting trial.

It can be recalled, the lifeless body of 21-year-old Annie Lymas was discovered early Monday morning, June 6, 2022 at her Browerville residence in district #17, Montserrado County.

An uncle of the deceased told local media  that the lifeless body was discovered with bruises.

Julius Luke said his nephew’s body was discovered with a six-paragraph letter reportedly written by her boyfriend known as Mohammed Barrie, alias Agogo indicating that he committed the act.

Mr. Luke said  discovery of the lifeless body, the alleged perpetrator Agogo escaped the community and but was later arrested by Police.

The uncle of the 21-year-old deceased is meanwhile calling on national government to immediately launch an investigation into her death as well as rigorous search for the boyfriend on the run.
