The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Public Works, have signed a Contract Agreement with the Chinese Railway Seventh Group of Company (CRSG), for the commencement of the Sehyikimpa – Lugatuo Road Project in Nimba County.
The Sehyikimpa – Lugatuo 47.1Km, road Project which estimated cost is 37-Millions, United States Dollars, Project is funded by the African Development Bank (ADB),the European Development Bank (EDB), and the Government Of Liberia, and it is expected to be completed in three years.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Liberia’s Public Works Minister, Hon. Mobutu Vlah Nyenpan, who signed on behalf of the Government of Liberia used the ceremony to thanked the CRSG, for coming and collaborating with the Government, and People of Liberia.
Minister Nyenpan lauded the President for his consistent efforts towards the reconstruction of roads in the Country.
The Minister also encouraged all Liberians especially those in the project area to cooperate with the engineers for the smooth implementation of the Project.
For his part, the head of CRSG thanked the Government and people of Liberia for reposing confidence in his institution, and he also promised to execute the project in accordance with international standards.
He used the occasion to laud the President, and the team at the Ministry of Public Works for being Farsighted in the evaluation process.
It can be recalled that the China Railway Seventh Group of Company recently met and held an acquaintance meeting with the County administration of Nimba and citizens alone the road of the expected project site.
The signing ceremony took place Monday November 18, 2019 at the Head office of the Ministry of Public works in Monrovia.
