In the wake of acquiring safe drinking water in rural communities in Liberia, Water of Life and the Christian Revival Church Association(CRCA) are constructing 17-hand pumps in several rural towns and villages in Lofa County.

Already, seven of the 17-hand pumps have been completed and turned over to four towns in Kolahun District, Lofa County.

The four towns are Bondowala,Lehuma, Boawohun and Kamatowhnu.

Two hand pumps each were constructed in Bondowala, Lehuma and Boawohun while Kamatowhun benefited from one.

According to Water of Life Country Director, Rev. Dennis Aggrey, the intervention is part of Water of Life, Christian Revival Church Association(CRCA) and Last Well strategic plan of providing safe drinking water to hard to reach rural communities to help stop the spread of water bond diseases amongst rural dwellers.

Rev. Aggrey said the provision of the hand pumps in Lofa County followed an assessment done by the three institutions in rural communitiess.

According to him, the project is jointly funded by Last Well, Water of Life and Christian Revival Church Association.

Speaking during program marking the turning over of the completed seven hand pumps to the four towns in Kolahun District, Rev. Aggrey said they have plans to extend the project to all parts of the Country before 2023.
