36-year-old man on the run after killing his two-month old pregnant girlfriend in Grand Gedeh

Report from Car Center community in Zwedru City, Grand Gedeh County says 36-year-old identified as Melvin Teah has allegedly killed his 2-month old pregnant girlfriend Florence Julu.

 Reason behind the killing remains unknown but many residents in Grand Gedeh County believed the man’s action might have triggered by jealousy over extra marital affairs.

According to brother of the suspect, Augustine Teah, suspect Melvin Teah went at his house after allegedly killing his girlfriend about 9:00PM EST (1:00AM Liberian time) locking at his door in the Webbo quarter community telling him that his girlfriend has put he and his first son outside of the house and took everything away.

Our reporter quoted the suspect brother that he later instructed his daughter to open the door for her uncle to sleep with her but later realized that he [suspect] Teah has left by 2:00am local time.

When couldn’t be seen by his brother (Augustine Teah) he began concerned searching for him but couldn’t be found which led him to questioned the suspect’s son whom both were sleeping to his house.

He further explained that the boy explained to his uncle Augustine Teah that his father suspect Melvin Teah beat on his mother and he [the boy] saw blood coming from the victim.

Our reporter  added that immediately, the brother rushed on the scene and upon his arrival, he met the door locked and broke into house and met deceased in a pull of blood along with her  1 year and six months son he bored by her sitting near the lifeless body.

It is reported that he bored his six years old son whom he took along with to his brother house by his past relationship and left the one year and six months old sucking child (male) near the deceased body and went to his big brother house.

Meanwhile, suspect Melvin Teah is on the run and has been declared wanted by the Liberia National Police with his picture posted in every street corner.

The deceased body has been deposited at Martha Tubman Memorial hospital awaiting further instructions.
