Chelsea Fans in Liberia celebrate club champion league victory

The Liberia’s Chelsea Fan Club over the weekend celebrated Chelsea Football Club championship victory against Manchester City.

The fan club which is headed a Veteran Liberian Journalist Oricho Bobby Willie paraded the principal streets of Monrovia promoting the image of Chelsea their blue jersey and cap.

Speaking to newsmen at a local entertainment where fans of Chelsea were celebrating, the Vice Chairman of the Chelsea Fan Club, Prince Parker said the club is intended to create awareness and the promotion of the team in Liberia.

Parker noted that many young Liberians love Chelsea Team and organizing fan club officially will go a long way enhance good sportmanship among fans of European clubs in the country.

He maintained that the Chelsea Fan Club based in London, England has given recognition to the Liberia Fan Club of Chelsea and they are striving to work along with the principles and objectives of the fan club.

He stressed that one of the objectives of the fan club is to foster charity activities within their respective countries and Liberia Chelsea Fan Club will soon engage charity venture in various communities across the nation.

Parker pinpointed that the fan club which was founded  in Liberia four months and its Nimba County chapter has been established and celebration is also taking place as well.

He disclosed that the leadership of fan club will ensure the rest of the counties, Chelsea Fan Club will be established as soon as possible.

He added that the fan club will not just be only about football, but will also see the need to provide scholarship for needed students  in the society.

Parker emphasized that fan club will be vibrant to carryout charity activities for sports lovers and their communities in the near future.

The celebration brought together fans of Chelsea from all walks of life within Monrovia and its environs.
