Retired Veterans of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) under the banner members of the Dyncorp, trained veterans AFL has petitioned former Lt. Hon. P. Melvin Kolleh Tolbert Sr. in fulfillment of his quest to become Representative, ahead of the 2023 Presidential and Legislative elections.
Tolbert is vying to replace incumbent Representative Thomas P. Fallah, who is said to be on a mission to contest as Senator of Lofa County, after serving three terms of service in Monsterrado County electoral District #5
Former AFL Soldier Lt. Tolbert, would faced a tough competition from Competitor of Rep. Fallah, Independent Hon. Alexander A. Suah Sr., Hon. Tugbeh Chieh Tygbeh, Hon. Kwisi Johnson, and Priscilla Cooper in the District #5 hot race
At the fully attended epoch petition ceremony held at the Police Academy, Football Field in Paynesville, Sunday, 28th January 2023 was witnessed by several residents of the area
In their petition statement said, LT. Hon. P. Melvin Tolbert Sr, the veterans ex- AFL Soldiers, describes Lt. Tolbert as a developmental and oriented and right person who has the expertise to bring remedies to the District
They said Lt. Hon. P. Melvin Kolleh Tolbert Sr, has exerted relentless efforts in infectuating positive change in the lives of people of his constituency, despite not being a Representative, but now it’s the time he service the people, in a adequate Representation
According to the people of Montserrado County Electoral District #5, who spoke to the NEW Dawn, during the petitioning program, that Lt. Hon. P. Melvin Kolleh Tolbert Sr, over the years has been productive, impactful, resourceful, and has the propensity to speedily get things done effectively for his constituency
Meanwhile, Lt. Hon. P. Melvin Kolleh Tolbert Sr, in a excited mood accepting the petition commended the Dyncorp and citizens of District #5 Montserrado County for the petition and term it as been timely and vowed to contest as Representative of the District
Lt. Tolbert, promised the inhabitants, it elected he will work tirelessly to ensure better development for the district. He then urged the citizens of Montserrado County District #5 to make the right choice for the betterment of the district
