In a heartwarming story of resilience and community support, a young man, Momolu Kromah has defied the odds to survive kidney failure after tragically losing both parents.

His incredible journey to recovery was made possible through the intervention of President George Weah and the tireless efforts of Diana Nebo, Managing Director of National Port Authority (NPA).

Momolu Kromah has a 22-year-old resident of Monrovia, had been struggling with kidney failure and was admitted at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital where he was stabilize briefly before being frown abroad for treatment.

Tragically, his parents passed leaving him alone and with limited financial resources to afford the life-saving treatment he desperately needed.

Diana Nebo, Managing Director of National Port Authority, heard about Momolu’s plight and immediately took action. She reached out to various healthcare organizations, government agencies, and individuals, seeking help for Momolu’ s situation.

Madam Nebo’s unwavering determination eventually caught the attention of President George Weah, who was deeply moved by Momolu’s story and decided to get involved personally.

President Weah, known for his commitment to helping the less fortunate in Liberia, immediately instructed his team to arrange for Momolu’s medical evaluation and treatment.

The operation was a success, thanks to the dedication of medical professionals who donated their time and expertise to save Momolu’s life. He received a kidney from a living donor, his brother who was a perfect match, and his recovery has been nothing short of miraculous.

Diana Nebo, visibly moved by the successful outcome, spoke about the power of collective action and the significance of a caring community. She emphasized the importance of addressing healthcare disparities in Liberia and ensuring that everyone has access to quality healthcare.

In his gratitude, Kroma Monday November 6, 2023 visited  Madam Nebo’s office to express his heartfelt appreciation for the invaluable support he had received. Nebo, clearly moved by the young man’s resilience, could not contain her emotions and openly expressed her joy for witnessing Kroma’s remarkable recovery.

Momolu now well on his way to a full recovery, expressed his profound gratitude to President Weah, Diana Nebo, and all those who contributed to his journey to health and happiness.
