As Liberia’s Independence Day Celebration draw closer, First Lady Clar Marie Weah has begun the distribution of food items to hundreds of orphans in Liberia.
The social services department of Mrs. Weah’s Office on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, embarked on the distribution of huge consignments of assorted food items to several orphanages in Montserrado County.
The distribution covered at least eight orphanages including the Suzie Guenther’s children orphanage, Rock of divine children’s orphanage, Frances Gaskins Rescue children orphanage, Children Rescue center and My Brother’s Keeper Orphanage on the first day.
According to Miss Kayea Dorbor, the head of the distribution team, their team will continue to reach out to many orphanages in surrounding counties.
She explained to that it is the first lady own way of putting smiles on the faces of hundreds of orphans in Montserrado and other counties.
For their part, the various heads of the Orphanages home extended thanks and appreciation to the first lady for thinking about them during such time.
