President George Weah to launch Road Construction projects Nationwide

Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill has disclosed plans for the resumption of road works across the country.

Minister McGill said the construction of major roads would begin within the next two months.

Making the disclosure Wednesday July 15, 2020 in an interview with ELBC at his Residence in Paynesville, he noted that President George Weah is committed to the completion of the projects.

According to him, the government is optimistic that most of the projects would end before 2023, noting all efforts are being made towards the completion.

The Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, claimed despite the health crisis government is ensuring that progress is made for national development.

Minister Nathaniel McGill named some major corridors linking Ganta, Tappita,  Zwedru and Fish Town as projects the President is determined to complete before the expiration of his tenure.

According to him, the six years will also see the commencement of Barclayville to Greenville and to Buchannan Roads but the completion is not assured within the first term.

He claimed the Liberian Leader did not vowed completion of roads before 2023 but prioritize construction of the roads within his first term.

Minister McGill stressed that government is certain that routes connecting Nimba, Grand Geddeh, and Maryland will be at 80-percent completion before the six years end.

He said government is certain of the ELWA to Red-light roads completion before the end of 2022.

Minister McGill maintained that government is making progress towards the growth and development of Liberia of which many developments would take place across the country.

According to him, government is focused and not move by critics  but see it as a push to continue doing better for the common good of the citizenry.
