Liberia’s popular intellectual group inducts new leadership

The Center for the Exchange of Intellectual Opinions (CEIO), Liberia leading intellectual center has inducted a new leadership for the next two years.

Speaking the induction ceremony over recently held at the center on Carey Street in central Monrovia, the Vice Chairman for Political Affairs of the People’s Liberation Party (PLP), Henry B. Sackie challenged the leadership of CEIO to seek the welfares of its members first.

Sackie stated that members of the organization should be prioritized always to move the development of the institution forward.

He noted that there can not be sustainable development when the leadership seek their selfish interest at the spent of the members.

He stressed that the stage of governance system in Liberia is a bad when national leaders are building their personal houses at the spent of the people living in objecty poverty.

Sackie maintained that Mr. Weah  administration has failed the Liberian people and the PLP under Dr. Daniel E. Cassell is the alternative in the pending presidential and general elections in 2023.

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of CEIO Adolphus N. S. Weah said CEIO will ensure that corruption will be eradicated from Liberia.

Chairman Weah noted that corruption has undermined the developmental agenda of nation and it is about time for civil society organizations to advocate strongly against corruption.

He stressed that CEIO will not compromised issues affecting the Liberian people, but it will advocate for central government to address these issues.

He warned members against misbehavioring during the regular function of the organization at the center and stressing that it is time for the transformation of CEIO in all aspects of its growth and development.

Those inducted are Adolpus N. S. Weah Executive Chairman, Sylvester T. Nah Executive Co-Chairman, Dax Elliot Secretary General, A. Randolph Kemokai Assistant Secretary, Mohammed Kamara Financial Secretary and Viola Richard Treasurer.
