Lofa, Bong, and Grand Bassa registered victories in their respective opening matches at 2021 National County Sports Meet

Champions Lofa got their title defense to a wonderful start, as they hit a goal past Gbarpolu County at the C.H. Dweh Sports Pitch in Tubmanburg, Bomi County. Cece United Prodigy Robin Kane Hney score the only goal of the game to separates the sides.

  The Title holder sent a clear message of defending this year’s  trophy, after they pinned neighbors Gbarpolu County in classic game play in Bomi, the second half penalty converted by forward Robin Kane Hney was enough as to the Lorma boys match to collect their first three points of the tournament, which put them in good position of qualifying to the Knockout stage.

The next fixture saw Grand Cape Mount engage Gbarpolu County, Bomi play defending Champion Lofa wednesday.

Coach Wattala Moore men will have a rest on Wednesday and wait the following match day fixture to play Sinoe County, who will engage Grand Gedeh in wednesday midweek soccer actions.

Group ‘C’ is comprises of three teams, host Grand Gedeh, Maryland and Sinoe with only the group winner qualifying for the knockout of the tournament.
