27 May 2026, Monrovia – The Multi-Actor Platform on Land Governance and Responsible Agricultural Investment in Liberia (MAP Liberia Land Platform), in collaboration with the Liberia Land Authority and relevant stakeholders in the land reform sector, will host its Annual Membership Forum (AMF) in Gbarnga, Bong County, from May 28-29, 2026.

Over thirty-five member organizations of the MAP Liberia Land Platform are expected to convene at the Development Educational Network of Liberia (DEN-L) in Gbarnga. The forum will rigorously assess the Platform’s performance and celebrate its successes while highlighting its strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. Major policy decisions will be made regarding the Platform, including a review of its resource mobilization strategy and the adoption of the annual work plan for 2026, all within the context of a five-year country strategy.

This year’s AMF is set to be a significant gathering, uniting co-conveners, members, sponsors, and key partners. The forum aims to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the Platform’s performance to date, facilitating discussions to review current strategies and approaches with a focus on fostering collaboration. Together, participants will work to identify impactful strategies that ensure the sustainability of their initiatives in the short, medium, and long term.

In alignment with the Platform’s five-year Country Strategic Plan and resource mobilization strategy, the participants will outline programs and initiatives for the upcoming year. This includes presentations from various stakeholders, opportunities for breakout discussions, and a chance for feedback on proposed plans.

Specifically, the forum will provide updates on the Platform’s performance regarding its programs, financial status, and other operational matters. It will reflect on the past year’s performance, emphasizing strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. Members will receive a comprehensive update about the current status of the national land reform process and land-based agriculture, and the Annual Work Plan for 2026 will be reviewed and adopted. Additionally, the forum will evaluate the annual assessment of the Platform’s performance since the last assembly, establishing the level of improvements achieved across all operational levels.
