Liberia’s Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor is recommending the insertion of a course on integrity in the National Academic Curriculum, to be taught at all schools across the country.

It is believed that many Liberians especially young people sometimes find it difficult to hold their integrity evidenced by some behaviors that are exhibited  in positions of trust.

Vice President Taylor was speaking  at the first graduation and closing exercises of the Kerkulah Giddings Public school in Sanoyea, Bong County last week.

The Liberian Vice president said the value of integrity has been lost in the Liberian society.

Madam Taylor stated that corruption has engulfed all sectors of the society, as the lack of integrity and patriotism continue among citizens.

Ok FM quotes the former Bong County Senator as feeling  assumed that people nowadays take public funding highhandedly and go with impunity because of injustice, insincerity and the lack of integrity.

VP Taylor said the future generation will only live in a society free of corruption and other malpractices, when the current generation is taught on the significance of integrity and values.

In a special statement, the Kerkulah Giddings Public School’s valedictorian for 2018/2019, James Kerkulah challenged Liberian youths to double their efforts in building a vibrant society.

Kerkulah at the same time urged young Liberians to serve with commitment and determination, if the country must be developed.
