Eminent daughter of Nimba makes another huge donation to County

In helping to restore hope to her people amid the fight against coronavirus in Liberia, a daughter of District #2 has made a second intervention. 

Mrs. Sharon Koanh Mohamdi a daughter of Borsonnor Town in District # 2 in Nimba County residing in Australia over the weekend donated food and none food items to the Town. 

Borsonnor is one of the biggest Town in Kpaye Clan, Yarpea Mah District with about 155 houses and an estimated population of 1,000 inhabitants. 

Making the donation on behalf of Mrs. Konah Mohamdi, Daniel Garteh Sr. disclosed that the donation was Sharon and her husband way of identifying with their people in the town. 

Mrs. Konah Mohamdi had early explained that she is in empathy with her people as there is no much movement of people as government has mandated citizens to be at their various homes by 3:00PM. 

“I was in Liberia before traveling and know how living condition is like with the people more especially those in the rural parts (interior), Mrs. Mohamdi was quoted as saying. 

Items donated to the people of Borsonnor Town include 50 bags of 25kg rice, 50 facet buckets and 50 cartoons of pop tied soap with a value over $ 1, 350 USD. 

She cautioned her people to continue to abide by the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health institute of Liberia protocol of washing hands, avoiding of crowd, shaking hands among others. 

Receiving the items on behalf of the town, the Town chief Richard Keah applauded Sharon and her family for thinking beyond their expectations. 

Chief Keah mentioned that Mrs. Sharon Koanh Mohamdi was the first private citizen from the Town living in the diaspora to make such a huge donation since the outbreak of the coronavirus in Liberia over two months ago.

For their part, the Traditional Zoe women and Men of the Town appreciated their granddaughter for feeling them during this pandemic period.
