Kpakolokoyata School to benefit the construction of Junior high annex in Bong County

Salala, Bong-In order to buttress government efforts, an Industrious son of salala district, William O.G Kollie breaks ground for the construction of Junior high annex in kpakolokoyata Bong county.

According to Mr. .Kollie, the annex when constructed will provide extended quality learning environment for students in the community and it environs.

He however disclosed that, students and some communities of lower Bong county has been marginalized from quality learning environments.

Mr Kollie named some of the communities as,Sawyeapolu, Kpakolokoyata and Frelela among others, something that prompted him to take the initiative of the project.

Meanwhile Kollie cautioned citizens of the community not to see his development as political trait for 2023 or further elections but rather to educate school going kids.

“I am not doing this development to buy your votes in any future elections which I am not thinking of such, but rather to educate the younger ones in our community; he added

Mr. Kollie urged citizens during the ground breaking ceremony to make their contributions by providing dirt blocks and sand while he (Kollie) will take the responsibility for cash, cement and other needed materials for the construction.

At the same time, Kollie is calling on leaders from Bong county to help improve on various deplorable and unfinished schools in the area, in order to have conducive learning environment, rather than distributing rice to citizens and hosting tournament for young people during these crucial electioneering period.

For his part, the principal of Kpakolokoyata School, Mohammed Kamara, thanked Mr. Kollie for his ‘farsightedness’ through the education sector for bringing such a good initiative, noting that education is the only key to success.

He however named the kpakolokoyata public school as one of the oldest government institutions in salala district, as such it needs to be up to standard.

Kamara however disclosed told Liberia Public Radio national correspondent in Bong at the ground-breaking ceremony that since the establishment of the institution about 25 years ago, the school have never had an opportunity to reach up to junior high.

For her part madam Bendu Y. Momo chairlady for parents teachers association (P.T.A) of the institution expressed her excitements for the positive steps taken by Mr. Kollie, terming it as  a “timely” intervention.

At the same time, madam Momo thanks Mr. Kamara for facilitating the expected construction of the additional three classes for Junior high students, in order to curtailed burden on parents.

Meanwhile score of citizens thanked William O.G  Kollie for his good humanitarian jobs in salala district and Bong county at large.

“We say thank you for breaking ground for this additional annex, our children will now finished with 9grade here in kpakolokoyata before going out for forward education” said Madam Rebecca Kormah

A group of Students from the Kpakolokoyata in a joint remake, lauded Mr. Kamara for his immense contributions and good working relationship with students and parents.
