Bong County: Supt. Walker embarks on new development plan

Madam Ester Y. Walker told a press briefing recently that though she took over at the time the county was in a deficit of two Million United States Dollars, but her leadership is now making some level of progress in terms of development in the County.

Superintendent Walker in an interview with LPR correspondent said   plans are under way for renovation of the superintendent Compound which will be done in collaboration with the torn apart Bong Legislative Caucus.

According to her, the Compound is expected to be renovated and at the Same time  be fenced.

It can be recalled that during the 2018 county development sitting, fifty thousand united States dollars,50,000 USD was allotted for the rehabilitation of the superintendent compound.

But since the allotment no work has commenced on the building, leaving citizens of the county to Wonder about what has happened to the money allotted for its rehabilitation.

No disunity

Also responding to a question on the Current rigmarole in the Bong caucus, Superintendent Walker clarified that she does not see any form of disunity among members of the caucus as some Citizens of the county claim.

 She furthered, if Bongese feel there is problem in the Caucus they Should Make the right decision in the next election.

Madam Walker named the electrification of GBARNGA  in 2020 as one of her major priorities  under the Weah’s led administration.

She added that the Gbarnga City electrification project is well on course and will be completed by the end of 2020.
