The deadly Coronavirus has been  suspected in the death of Mr. Jones Blamo, Deputy Director of the National Security Agency(NSA) who died on wednesday at the COVID-19 treatment center near Monrovia.

The NSA deputy director had reportedly shown signs of the deadly Coronavirus over the past few days before he was taken to a hospital in the Marshall Community where he was pronounced dead on Wednesday June 3,2020.

It is unclear why he was not taken to the 14 Military Hospital although he showed symptoms of the virus,

Information Minister Lenn Eugene Nagbe confirmed to FrontPageAfrica that Mr. Blamo was tested for the virus but the results were still pending up to the time of his death.

President George Manneh Weah has reportedly placed a call to the widow of the deceased and a statement from the Executive Mansion is expected to be released shortly, according to the minister.

In February 2019, Mr. Blamo was suspended for “time indefinite” after a run-in with Chief of Protocol Finda Bundoo at the Executive Mansion.

More details surrounding the death of Mr. Blama are still emerging.
