23-man Squad named for Liberia Double-header Fixture against Cape Verde Liberia- Lone Star

 Manager Peter Butler has named his 23-man squad for October’s World Cup qualifiers, with Sacramento Republic loanee Patrick Weah earning his maiden call-up.

The 17year, 276days -old highly-rated Striker could make history as the youngest player to represent the Lone Star if he plays for his country in the upcoming World Cup qualifying rounds.

Weah’s born in Monrovia but grew-up in the United State, cousin of Africa icon George Weah, would suprise Real Balompédica Linense, shots-spotter Ashley Williams as the youngest player to play for the Liberian National team.

Williams was 17 years, 289days, when he made his debut for Liberia in 2-1 win over Republic of Congo on October 16, 2018.

The Lone Star of Liberia will face off against Cape Verde Islands in a back to back fixtures between October 6-10, as they fight to brighten their chances in the 2022 World Cup qualification campaign.

Also in line to debut for the Lone Star is the 28year-old Moussa Sanoh of Romanian Club CS Mioveni, the Dutch-Liberian was born in Ivorycoast to a Guinean Mother and a Liberian Father.

Sanoh has previously play for PSV Eindhoven, RKC Waalwijk, FC Politehnica Iași, among others.

IK Brage Midfielder Seth Hellberg is back in the Lone Star after being dropped from the previous selection against Nigeria and Central African Republic due to Fitness concern. While former Captain Sam Johnson of swedish club Mjallby is being overlook again.

Skipper Allen Njie returns to the squad after his suspension against CAR and FC Makedonijagjp versatile Abu Kamara who played in the opening two matches gets a call up, having being suspended for the first leg.

Tony FC, Fredrick Dennis, made the cut for the first time, while Rukh Brest midfielder David Tweh, Olympiakos Nicosia striker Peter Wilson, Hatayaspor hitman Mohammed Kamara and Bea Mountain defender Daniel Paye, are all left out.

Liberia is second in Group C, three points adrive leader Nigeria, whom host the bottom place team Central African Republic (CAR) in a two-legs matches.
