Bong county detachment of the Liberia National Police has arrested a 22-year- old man identified as James Cole reportedly murdering victim James Sumo with cutlass and taking away his bike.
The police charged suspect Cole with the crimes of murder, armed robbery and theft of property.
The incident occurred on Monday, July 31, 2023 in Negbela Road, Yenequelleh District Bong County, where victim Faijue Kamara was reportedly killed.
Commander Fasu Sheriff told a press conference on Wednesday in Gbarnga that the Suspect , was apprehended on the same day, riding a black Bajaj motorbike belonging to the deceased.
Prior to the incident, the victim’s father, George Kamara also told the police that Sunday afternoon, July 30, 2023, he witnessed his son passing by with three passengers on the motorbike but later saw Cole alone on the same bike entering their home.
However, following police preliminary investigation suspect James Cole voluntarily admitted to committing the act but blamed the devil for his actions.
