Montserrado County electoral District # 10 Representative Yekeh Kolubah on Sunday June 21, 2020 dedicated a footpath bridge in Vahyuwein Community in the district.

According to Representative Kolubah, the construction of the bridge is intended to bring relief to residents of Sophie and Vahyuwein Communities to easily access their areas, especially during the rainy season time.

He stated that the bridges project in the district are some of the developmental agenda intended to foster major development in the district, but claimed that the central government headed by President George Manneh Weah has denied his office the district development fund.

Rep. Yekeh Kolubah has in the past time alluded that the current CDC-led government does not have money for district development across Liberia.

He pointed out that his office remains committed to the people of District # 10 to ensure that developmental projects are executed under his leadership as a Representative of the district despite limited resources.

The Montserrado County Lawmaker   called on Liberians to demand  developmental projects from the Coalition for Democratic  Change (CDC) led Government as the president is ‘reneging’  to fulfill his promises to the people rather than using the country’s money for his “personal use”.

He asserted that the Liberian people are “responsible for what is happening to them and the nation” because they refused to listen, noting that President Weah never did anything good for the country when he became the world best in football arena and Senator for Montserrado County respectively.

He added that US$13,000.00 was used to construct the footpath bridge, which is  his personal money and promised to electrify the bridge as soon as possible to prevent criminals attacking community dwellers at night.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Vahyuwein Community Ezekiel Fair said the footpath bridge constructed will provide easy access for residents of Sophie and Vahyuwein Communities to move freely in the area.

Chairman Fair stated that Representative Kolubah promised the people in the community that when he is elected the bridge will be constructed and he has done it.

He said over the past 40 years, the people of Vahyuwein have been going through difficulty  to have  easy access  to the community  due to lack of bridge to connect the area to the main road, but thank God  for Representative Kolubah who has bring relief  to them.

He warned community dwellers to use the footpath bridge wisely and maintain it for long lasting.
