LPRC Oilers thrash ASKO DE KARA 3-0 in CAF Champions League

Liberia Champions Sensational LPRC oilers on Sunday claimed a 3-0 victory over Asoka from Togo in the CAF Champions League preliminary match at the open air, Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Central Monrovia on Sunday afternoon.
 
The victory saw the Liberian champions leapfrog the Togolese giant with a nice 3-0 advantage pending the return leg in lome in a week time. 
 
Oilers got off to the perfect start as they took an early lead through Top Striker Terry Sackor, decent header just on 25 minutes into the encounter, with the Kara defence exposed.
 
After the goal, both sides engaged the game aggressively with the first period finishing 1-0 in the host controlled, immediately after the restart the home side  did not sit back, become to mount pressure on the troubling visitors and they managed to double their lead through Irvin Gbotoe and James Richardson with succession goals in the 70th and 71st minutes to wash the game away from the toothless ASKO DE KARA.
 
Meanwhile,the Oil boys will take a huge advantage in the second leg Match schedule for September 19, 2021 at the Stade Municipal and Asko need at least four goals to none to erase the 3-0 deficit to qualify for the next round of the competition.
