Ivory coast collapsed building leaves five dead, several wounded

Liberia Public Radio has  learnt that  least five (5) persons were  killed and twenty seven (27) people wounded when a building under construction collapsed in Abidjan sunday.
The collapsed building under construction is located in Treichville, a commercial community south of Abidjan.

The Ivorian government’s Group of Military Firefighters (GSPM) has deployed eight (8) machines, a canine team and forty (40) firefighters on the ground.
The firefighter’s information said that the incident took place at 1:13 a.m. and the GSPM alerted about the collapse of a building in Treichville opposite the cultural palace, at avenue three (3) street number seventeen (17).
On the scene, the GSPM soldiers noted “a building R +7 under construction which collapsed”.
The provisional report shows twenty seven (27) victims including five (5) deaths noted by the doctor on duty early Sunday morning February 27, 2022.
The GSPM specifies, “22 survivors, including 07 stuck without injuries” were “handed over to their respective families and 15 evacuated to the Treichville University Hospital”.
